Pittsburgh Irish Photos Needed

Nan Krushinski from the Pittsburgh Irish Festival has been asked to write/edit a book on the Irish of Western PA and is in need of photos of the Irish from this area. The photos should be no later than the 1950's (1950s and earlier) and should be of the folks that settled here in this region.

This is the link to the company that are publishing the book. They are well known throughout the country for a quality product and obviously it is very important to have the Western PA Irish represented in their catalog. The book is mainly photos and would be under the "Images of America" series.

At this point Nan only needs photocopies to submit to the company - each accompanied with a couple of sentences describing what's happening in the photo. Once the project is approved, she will then move forward with gathering a couple of hundred photos and submitting for publication. Any help getting the word out would be greatly appreciated.

People can send their photocopies to her at:
Nan Krushinski, 515 Glasgow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15221, or nkrushinski@comcast.net

Include your name/address/phone or email address and a short description of the people in the photo - names, date if known, location, and description (i.e. "This is my grandmother Hannah McCarrick cooking dinner in East Liberty Christmastime circa 1920.").
