Pittsburgh Irish Festival Moves to New Sandcastle Ampitheatre
“We feel the Pittsburgh Irish Festival will grow significantly at the new site and experience exciting changes in staging, cultural areas and children’s presentations, and overall increased enjoyment for our attendees,” says Executive Director Nan Krushinski.
Pittsburgh Irish Festival has been at the Amphitheatre at Station Square for the past sixteen years.
Maura Krushinski, Administrative Director says, "This new site will enhance the festival-goer's experience and offer us a new canvas to paint on in terms of festival design."
The 17th Annual Pittsburgh Irish Festival will continue to be presented the weekend after Labor Day at the new Amphitheatre. This year’s dates are September 7-8-9.
“Pittsburgh Irish Festival looks forward to a continued relationship with Live Nation Pittsburgh as we join together to offer western Pennsylvania the best in cultural festivals and entertainment,” says Nan Krushinski.
About Pittsburgh Irish FestivalThe Pittsburgh Irish Festival is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization created to contribute to the rich cultural awareness of Irish history and tradition that exists in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.
In addition to our three day festival, the Pittsburgh Irish Festival has expanded into a year-round resource for education and cultural programs through the creation of the Irish Education Outreach Program.
The Program's primary objective is to create a higher awareness of the ethnic richness and significance of the Irish and Irish-American culture and presence.
In-service consultants are available to community groups and organizations as well as interested school districts. In addition to cultural presentations, our consultants provide multidisciplinary Irish studies workshops for teachers.
