Irish Ambassador To Visit Pittsburgh

The Irish Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Michael Collins, will be in Pittsburgh on Thursday, April 23, for a reception at the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh at the invitation of Jim Lamb.

Following the reception, the AOH County Board is hosting a social gathering at the Harp N' Fiddle in the Strip District from 7:30 to 10 p.m. We will provide snacks and munchies; drinks may be purchased.

The Ambassador is looking forward to the opportunity to "meet and greet" the many members of the Irish community in the Greater Pittsburgh area. He will address the group for a few minutes around 8 p.m. A short question and answer period will follow.

Mike Gallagher will be the entertainment at the Harp that night. He'll start as soon as the Q & A session ends.

There will be no admission charge and no baskets to sell or buttons to purchase. Fifty/fifties are always a possibility when the Irish get together, but nothing is planned.

Please spread the message and bring your spouse, bring your friends, or just come by yourself. Let's show the Irish Ambassador how Pittsburgh rocks the Irish.

In Hibernian Friendship,

Jim Green
AOH Allegheny County Vice President
