Grants Available for War Veterans
Veterans who sustained a disability rating of 30 or higher from service in theater of operations for Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) or Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) are eligible for a $500 grant.
The American Legion and the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is distributing a total of $500,000 to OEF and OIF veterans meeting the criteria.
If you know a qualified veteran send his or her name, address, branch of service and contact information to the Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Division by emailing ssouthern@legion.org or phoning 202.263.2983.
